First time out with the Fuji X100S and I ventured to the first day of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for some street photography. Street photography on the High Street during the Fringe is slightly different as it not really about candid shots, more about thousands of people that are very happy to pose, perform and encourage you to visit their show.
I would usually do some post-processing on street shots (and go black and white) but I thought it might be useful to show JPG’s straight out the camera.
On the whole, I loved it! Didn’t feel at all restricted by only having a 35mm lens and had all the control I needed. I think it is less scary when you point it at people. I suspect it also made me look immensely cool, but there is no independent verification of that.
